Provenance Lee Interiors was founded on a simple truth: the most distinctive design emerges when you genuinely understand the people you're creating for.
We ask about your travels. We notice your wardrobe choices, the art you collect, the colors that make you feel at home. We learn about your childhood memories, your family traditions, the spaces where you've felt most yourself.
This philosophy led to one of our most celebrated projects: a 12,000-square-foot 1840s mansion transformed by a client's travels to Morocco as a young girl - a project that later inspired our Marrakech home textile collection.
We don't replicate trends. We avoid disposable trends in favor of timeless elegance. We create interiors that are as unique as the people who inhabit them, using authentic materials, master craftsmanship, and a process refined over 25 years.
A full-scale historic preservation project that spanned 3 years, Debby worked closely with the local historic commission and the owners to restore the George W. Williams House to its former glory, an 1860s mansion and contributing structure in the Theater Historic District. Authenticity and a refined design created a storybook design that the owners enjoy for modern-day living.
The original architecture and design of the home was restored for the first time. Throughout the house, the stunning architectural details and exquisite finishes establish the mood.
Debby brought back the original homeowners' design influence to honor their vision, while adding fabulous modern updates. The details are so very rich and appealing, but at the same time not overdone—it will make people think. Debby wanted the Williams’ to be proud of her work, had they come back for a dinner party 150 years later. A team of talented and esteemed artisans were brought in from Manhattan and Washington, D.C., to bring Debby's vision to life.Original wood doors from the 1830s were refinished in an authentic blue to complete the Moroccan Kasbah design.
